Friendship at the end

Abhishek was a young, handsome and rich boy who lived in a luxurious mansion in the heart of the city. He had everything one could dream of – a loving family, expensive cars, designer clothes and a lavish lifestyle. But despite having all the materialistic pleasures, Abhishek felt something was missing in his life.

One day, while taking a walk in the park, he saw a girl sitting on a bench, lost in her thoughts. She had a frail figure, pale skin and a scarf covering her head. Abhishek’s heart skipped a beat as he couldn’t take his eyes off her. He felt a strange connection with her and decided to approach her.

“Hi, I’m Abhishek. Can I sit here?” he asked, pointing to the empty space on the bench.

The girl looked up at him with her big, doe-like eyes and nodded. Abhishek sat down next to her and they started talking. He found out that her name was Riya and she was struggling with cancer. She had only two years left to live and she had come to the park to spend some time alone.

Abhishek was taken aback by this revelation. He couldn’t believe that someone so young and beautiful was fighting such a deadly disease. But what surprised him the most was Riya’s positive attitude towards life. She didn’t let her illness define her and was determined to make the most of the time she had left.

As they talked, Abhishek found himself opening up to Riya about his own struggles. Despite having everything, he felt empty and lost. Riya listened to him patiently and gave him words of encouragement. Abhishek felt a sense of comfort and peace in her presence.

From that day on, Abhishek and Riya became inseparable. They would meet in the park every day and talk for hours. Abhishek would bring her flowers, books and anything that would bring a smile to her face. He was drawn to her strength, her kindness and her beautiful soul.

As their friendship grew, Abhishek realized that he had fallen in love with Riya. He couldn’t imagine his life without her and he wanted to make her remaining years the best of her life. He wanted to fulfill all her wishes and make her happy.

“Riya, I know we’ve only known each other for a short time, but I can’t imagine my life without you. I love you,” Abhishek confessed one day.

Riya was taken aback by his words. She had never expected someone like Abhishek to fall in love with her. She was just a poor girl with a deadly disease. But as she looked into his eyes, she saw the sincerity and love in them. She too had developed feelings for him and she couldn’t deny it any longer.

“I love you too, Abhishek,” she said with tears in her eyes.

From that day on, their friendship turned into a beautiful love story. Abhishek took Riya to all the places she had always wanted to visit. They went on long drives, watched movies, and spent hours talking about their dreams and aspirations. Abhishek made sure that Riya’s last two years were filled with love, laughter and happiness.

But as time passed, Riya’s health started deteriorating. She had to be hospitalized and Abhishek never left her side. He would hold her hand, read her stories and make her laugh even in the toughest of times. He was her rock, her support and her reason to fight.

One day, as they were sitting in the hospital room, Riya looked at Abhishek with tears in her eyes.

“Abhishek, I don’t have much time left. I don’t want you to see me suffer. It’s better if we end things now,” she said, her voice trembling.

Abhishek was heartbroken. He couldn’t imagine a life without Riya. But he knew that she was right. He didn’t want to see her suffer either.

“Riya, I will always love you. And I will always cherish the memories we’ve made together. You have given me the best two years of my life and I will never forget you,” he said, tears streaming down his face.

Riya smiled through her tears and held his hand tightly. They spent the rest of the day talking about their love and their memories. And as the sun set, Riya took her last breath in Abhishek’s arms.

Abhishek was devastated. He had lost the love of his life. But he knew that Riya had left a lasting impact on him. She had taught him the true meaning of love, strength and courage. And he would always be grateful for the time they had together.

Years went by, but Abhishek never forgot Riya. He would often visit the park where they first met and sit on the same bench, reminiscing about their love story. And every time he saw a girl with a scarf on her head, he would smile, knowing that Riya was still with him in spirit.

Abhishek’s friends and family couldn’t understand why he still visited the park after all these years. But for Abhishek, that park held a special place in his heart. It was where he found true love and friendship at the end. And he knew that Riya would always be a part of him, no matter where he went.
